Staff from our Ugandan partner, EAV, meet with acid attack survivor Bambuza, who lives in Bwindi Forest in Western Uganda.  They transported her to a hospital in Kampala where she received treatment for scarring related to her attack.

Partner Center: End Acid Violence Uganda

When: January 2018

Funded by: RISE

Outcomes: The majority of acid attack survivors in Uganda live in the capital city of Kampala.  However, there are many other survivors in need of services who live outside of the capital, often in remote areas with little access to care.  Through funding the outreach program, RISE allows EAV employees to visit these survivors, educate them on services available through EAV, and invite them to participate.
