What we do

Purchase crafts handmade by acid attack survivors and sell these at private parties, craft fairs, stores, and in our online marketplace

fair trade crafts100 percent of proceeds from the sale of these items goes to RISE, proceeds which are then used to expand programming for acid attack survivors around the world.

Purchase survivor-made products on the RISE Artisan Marketplace

Fund artisan skills training

RISE is committed to the economic empowerment of survivors.  It’s not just about helping survivors earn an income, though that’s important!  It’s about providing opportunities that give survivors more options- for example, to leave abusive relationships because of their newly found financial independence.  In addition, acquiring craft making skills and then using those skills to better their lives is enormously rewarding.  For many survivors, it is the first time in their lives that they experience what it’s like to enact and realize positive change for themselves.

Collect & distribute craft supplies

RISE collects donated craft supplies and distributes them to our partner centers in Uganda and Nepal.  Survivors then use these beads and other materials to create jewelry that is later sold around the world.

A special thank you to The Bead Joint and A World of Beads in Cincinnati, Ohio, who have donated so many supplies to RISE!
