Legal Representative, RISE

Sibongile works with the legal team at RISE. She is a lawyer who is qualified as a legal practitioner and advocate in Malawian and Ugandan jurisdictions respectively.

Sibongile has always had a passion for philanthropy work since her days at the School of Law, Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda. She is part of the alumni of the Public Interest Law Clinic (PILAC) wherein she participated in their legal community outreach programs. She was also part of the Rotaract Club of Makerere University which club carried out community service projects. In addition to working in private legal practice at the start of her legal career, she has also had a year-long internship with the Malawi Legal Aid Bureau as a legal intern in ensuring the access to legal services to indignant and vulnerable groups of people.

Currently, Sibongile volunteers for Girls Unstoppable Uganda which is an organization that supports the education of marginalized adolescent girls in Uganda.

Her life-long goal is to use her legal skills to assist and campaign for the improvement and recognition of the welfare of marginalized persons in the communities around her.
