  1. Dear Julie,
I have recently started painting your portrait. I add it to my daily prayers for you– as another kind of prayer of respect.
Your beautiful courage is an inspiration to me. I am sure the wonderful art work you are making spreads out to many hearts who can come to know and love you. Thank you
    Love, Robert

  2. You have been in my prayers since I heard of your desire to make a film about acid survivors. I do hope you succeed and that it will be widely seen. It would be wonderful if your film could include news and stories of those other survivors I continue to pray for: Zalika, Erias, Bogere, Twaha and all those who, recovered, are helping those still in hospital. I hope your publicising of this most terrible form of abuse will help to prevent further attacks. Do those who have perpetrated such unremitting pain feel remorse? Have they any idea of the reality of the damage they have done? These cruel people also need our prayers so that their hearts may be opened to remorse, compassion, reparation. Good luck, Julie!

    1. Hello Rosanne, I am so glad that you are praying for me.I am really blessed. I have included other survivors in the script and i am still open to suggestions as well. It is my prayer too that God will us this film to touch people’s hearts so that they can feel remorse.Thank you for such a good heart.

  22. Dear Julie, Thank you for your video and for your courage in turning your personal tragedy into help for others. May God bless you richly in this endeavour.

  23. Hi Julie. As God’s children we find it very hard to understand how one human being can commit such violence against another human being. Still we know what rejection, loneliness, suffering, and torture that our Savior Jesus Christ endured . He then gave up His life so that we all might be saved and realize how much God loves us all. You have shown great courage Julie and our Lord will use you for His glory and honor. I will be praying for your physical, emotional and mental healing, and know that Jesus’ Holy Spirit will be healing you everyday. May He guide you in making your dream of making a movie become a reality. Please remember this simple phrase and pass it along to everyone you meet that has had to face any kind of suffering. It hopefully will help them to make some sense out what has happened to them. The phrase is: ” In Love’s service the wounded soldier serves best.” Simply put, because you have endured suffering of some form, you will be equipped to know what other people are going through themselves and will be able to show compassion toward them and will be better suited to know what sort of assistance they will need to win out over their suffering, whatever it may be. God bless you Julie and all other victims of acid violence. Peace be with you. Love, Tom and Family

  24. Dear Julie,
I pray your dream will become a reality and you will help stop many others from becoming victims of acid violence. God bless you through your vision.

I also pray that you will receive all the guidance and help you need to make the film that you propose. I am sure that God has laid this on your heart and therefore, if you lean on Him for everything, He will see that it comes to fruition whatever obstacles may appear to get in the way. I do not doubt that it will be used for great good and that in making it you will find some healing for yourself.

  43. Please know always that there are many people who love you and support you and your efforts to turn a negative event into a positive one – this is love (the force of God) in action! I believe we suffer hardship for this reason, some of us harder than others, it seems to us on the human plane. May you always have the support of angels in their many forms, may you always find yourself and those you work with surrounded with love. Your former partner will one day realise the harm he has caused (mostly to himself, if he only knew) and will also learn from this experience.

    1. Dear Julie:

I am impressed with your hope to turn your pain and suffering into such a great cause. I will pray that as you heal, you are also able to realize your dream of making a documentary to help educate people about this terrible crime and to try to protect others from the fate you, yourself have experienced. Thank you for your courage, and may the Holy One bless your endeavor. You are in my prayers. Kay Bircher

  44. Julie,
Can you get a prayer card of St. Anthony of Padua?
My daughter gave me one & I use it most days.
We are not Catholics but it is a resource at hand.
    Sylvia from London.

    1. Dear Julie,
God be praised that you have the confidence to fight back with media so that perpetrators may reconsider their actions and victims will have consolation and support, May God grant success to your endeavsours and continue to heal you body, soul and spirit. Know you can do all things through Christ who strengthen you.
      Gail

  45. Dear Julie,
Your hopes and prayers are being heard around the world. I am in Canada, and have a prayer partner I pray with every day in the United States. This very night I will pray with her for you, and for your hope to make a film about your experience. May you have encouragement and peace knowing that your suffering is seen, and that other women care for you and will pray daily for you. May God bless and keep you!

  46. Dear Julie. May God bless you and heal you, especially of your emotional wounds. May God send His angels to protect you and I pray that you may be successful in inspiring others, that good may come out of this distressing situation.

This is a really good idea, and could reach thousands of people with your message of hope. God bless you and your family, and help you to stay strong.

    3. It is a pleasure and a privilege to pray for you. The ability to reach our Heavenly Father in prayer, knowing that He listens is one of the most special gifts. I continue to pray for you. I admire your courage and perseverance and ask God to continue to heal you and support you in your endeavour. It is inspiring that so many can join together to pray. Jesus has told us that whenever two or more agree, it shall be done. I look forward to the good news of your continuing healing and the fulfilment of your ambition to make a film that I know will be of great benefit to many.
      Many blessings to you.
