How does it work?

Let your friends know that you are asking for donations instead of gifts on your birthday, anniversary, graduation, or other celebration.  Here’s an example:

“I am donating for my birthday this year!  Want to celebrate with me?  Donate to RISE to help acid attack survivors around the world.  I’d love to know that my special day is making a difference in the lives of others!”

* Friends and family can send a check to RISE or donate via paypal.  In case they’re wondering, donations to RISE are tax-deductible.

We will use 100 percent of the money you raise to fund programming for acid attack survivors.  You will receive photos and videos from survivors whose lives you changed with your birthday donations so you can share these with your friends and family.
