About Namutebi

Namutebi is a 27 year old acid attack survivor, living in Kisonga Mukono. She was attacked in 2007 by an unknown person while she was walking. She owns a fresh food, charcoal, and drinks business which she started with the microloan we gave her.

Why does Namutebi need hairdressing training?

Namutebi currently sells general home products. However, there are not many people who know how to plait hair where she lives. If she is given a chance to learn how to style hair, she can fill the gap in her area. 

Hairdressing training will be effective because it doesn’t require one to be very wise but only requires one to show his or her interest. In Africa, most people seek the services of a hair dresser because most of the natural hair types are hard to maintain, and people want to look good.
