Let’s purchase an electric sewing machine for Med!  Med is one of the top contributors to the RISE Artisan Marketplace.  (Shop Med’s products here.)  He is an excellent tailor and we are continually impressed with the products he creates!  Even more impressive, all of the products he makes are made with a treadle machine, powered mechanically with a foot pedal.  Purchasing an electric machine for Med will allow him to greatly expand his business, including making new styles of bags.

Med’s currently runs a small business repairing clothing, bags, and shoes for customers in Uganda.  This makes up the majority of his business.  However, an electric sewing machine would allow Med to make more of the types of products he makes for the RISE Artisan Marketplace and expand his business within Uganda and the US.
